C Frame Presses

C Frame Presses

Die Spotting and Try-Out presses are high-precision systems specifically engineered for the validation, adjustment, and final testing of injection, compression, or stamping molds. Unlike standard production presses, these machines prioritize positional accuracy and ergonomic accessibility over cycle speed. The primary function is to ensure perfect mating between the upper and lower die halves, identifying contact inconsistencies through the application of spotting pastes.

Key technical features include micro-inching capabilities, allowing the ram to move at extremely low speeds to prevent tool damage during initial closure. To facilitate manual refinement and grinding, these presses are typically equipped with a 180° tilting upper platen and a sliding/rolling lower bolster, bringing the mold surfaces into an optimal position for the technician. During the Try-Out phase, the press simulates actual production parameters—managing specific pressure profiles and parallelism—to verify part quality, material flow, and ejection sequences before the mold is moved to a high-volume production line. This rigorous verification process minimizes the risk of tool breakage, reduces production downtime, and ensures that final components meet strict dimensional tolerances.
